Former police officer, William Escobar is accused of beating a handcuffed man during a 2014 arrest then lying about it. As a result of the beating Escobar was fired. Escobar faces two counts of misdemeanor battery and two counts of misdemeanor perjury related to his actions during the March arrest of Refus Holloway, a military police officer.
