Adam Fravel is accused of murdering Madeline Kingsbury of Winona. Fravel is Kingsbury's ex-boyfriend and the father to their 2 children. Following a search by thousands of people, Kingsbury's body was discovered in early June 2023 in a culvert in Fillmore County, south of Winona on rural property near the home of Fravel's parents. Her body was wrapped in a bedsheet that matched one missing from her home. On the day Kingsbury disappeared, Fravel was seen changing the license plates on Kingsbury's minivan. He was then spotted on various cameras driving south towards his family’s home near Mabel. Prosecutors say Fravel was violent towards Kingsbury prior to her disappearance and death. Fravel is charged with two counts of first and second-degree murder.
