Cleveland police supervisors Patricia Coleman and Randolph Dailey are accused of dereliction of duty in a 2012 chase that ended in the deadly shooting of two unarmed people.

The misdemeanor charges are related to traffic offenses during the Nov. 29, 2012 chase that ended in the deaths of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams.

The supervisors were among nearly 100 police officers involved in the chase, which ended with officers firing 137 shots at Russell and Williams in an East Cleveland parking lot.

The supervisors were not among the 13 officers who fired shots during the incident.

Michael Brelo was the only officer charged in the shooting, and a judge acquitted him of voluntary manslaughter in May 2015.
