Edrick Lamont Faust is harged with multiple offenses including murder, felony murder, and arson in connection to the death of Tara Baker. On January 19, 2001, Athens-Clarke County firefighters discovered Baker's body while responding to a fire at her Athens apartment. Investigations concluded the fire was an act of arson and part of a deliberate and heinous crime. Baker died of strangulation, stab wounds to the neck, and blunt force trauma to the head.
