Influential Civil and Human Rights Lawyer, Educator and Author Jack Greenberg dies aged 91

Jack Greenberg,  who joined the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and argued cases in front of the Supreme Court before he turned 30, died this week at the age of 91.  He was the last surviving lawyer who argued Brown v. Board of Education at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Jack Greenberg was awarded the  Presidential Citizens Medal in 2001.  This award recognizes an individual who has performed exemplary deeds or services for his or her country or fellow citizens.
