Wade Wilson is charged in the deaths of Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz. Cape Coral Police say in 2019, Wilson strangled Melton and Ruiz to death. Wilson's charges include charges include: 2 counts of first-degree murder; Grand theft of a motor vehicle; Battery; Burglary of a dwelling; and 1st degree Petit theft. Kristine Melton was found dead in her Cape Coral home on October 7th 2019 and Diane Ruiz was found dead in a field in Cape Coral on October 10th 2019 after being reported missing. MeLisa Montanez, an ex-girlfriend of Wilson, claims he owned up to the murders over the phone when he called her from jail. That alleged confession from Wade Wilson could be used against. Another ex-girlfriend, Kelly Matthews, claims Wilson confessed to the murders to his father. In October 2020 Wilson and cellmate Joseph Katz were caught trying to escape jail by trying to break out of a window.
