Karen Boes was charged with unlawful imprisonment, two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or strangulation, and domestic violence second offense. Boes' daughter Robin, 14, died of smoke inhalation during a fire police said Boes intentionally set in June 2002. Boes was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
