Tirrell Edwards was found guilty on two counts of murder of Amanda Williams, two counts of felonious assault and one count of domestic violence. He was found not guilty of aggravated murder. Police responded to Amanda Williams house late on the evening of Oct. 9, 2023, for a reported domestic incident. Officers found 46-year-old Amanda Williams unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. Edwards had claimed self-defense saying that Williams lunged at him with a knife that night and he had no choice but to shoot her.
