Taylor Schabusiness is serving a life sentence at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin after she was convicted in 2023 of killing and dismembering Shad Thyrion on February 23, 2022 during a drug-fueled sexual encounter. The mother of Shad Thyrion found her son's severed head in a bucket covered with a towel in her home. Police confirmed that Schabusiness admitted giving oral sex and using a sex toy on Shad Thyrion after he had died. Schabusiness was found guilty by a jury of intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse and third-degree sexual assault. While serving her sentence, Schabusiness allegedly attacked an employee of the prison on July 24, 2024. Schabusiness had requested medical attention for a staple in her arm and allegedly lunged at the nurse and was grabbing and pushing the nurse as the nurse was obtaining tweezers. A prison guard intervened, allowing the nurse to escape, but Schabusiness then attacked the guard, hitting her in the head with a tray and swinging a small metal table at her. In November 2024, she was charged with one count of battery by a prisoner, as a repeater.
