Randall Deviney, 26, was convicted and sentenced to die on March 4th 2010 for killing his neighbor, Delores Futrell, 65, in 2008. In 2013 the Florida Supreme Court has reversed the murder conviction and death sentence because police coerced his confession. For his new trial Deviney's new lawyer had filed a change of venue motion which a judge withheld a ruling on and a motion to block the prosecution from seeking the death penalty was also denied. Again Deviney is facing death if convicted in his 2nd trial.
