Peter Nonyane known as 'Lamasweet' or 'Gagash', and his partner, attorney Charlotte Tibana face charges for alleged fraud, theft and money laundering involving about R1.75 million. They are facing charges of alleged fraud, theft and money laundering involving approximately R1.75 million linked to a deceased estate. It is alleged that on October 28, 2024, the accused apparently unlawfully transferred funds from a trust account linked to a deceased estate into the bank account of the Late Estate of Mr Masha. The funds were allegedly used to purchase a pre-owned Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 valued at R1.65 million from McCarthy Mercedes-Benz. Nonyane has a large social media following where he showed off his lavish life, flaunting fancy cars and clothes. In a TikTok post Nonyane claims: 'You either work for the money, or you steal it'.
