A Judicial Commission of Inquiry will inquire Into allegations regarding efforts or attempts having been made to stop the investigation or prosecution of Truth and Reconciliation Commission cases. The Honourable Madam Justice S Khampepe is its Chairperson and the Honourable Mr Justice F D Kgomo and Adv A Gabriel, SC, are members of the Commission. Important to the Inquiry's work is to establish the reasons why cases that were referred to the South African Police Services for investigation and to the National Prosecuting Authority for prosecution by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission never made it to court.
