Drew Blahnik is accused of killing Chris Bagley in 2018. Blahnik, 33, is charged with First Degree Murder, obstructing prosecution, and abusing a corpse.

Bagley was last seen alive in December 2018. Investigators said his body was found buried at a home belonging to Drew Wagner, who has since pled guilty.

Drew Wagner, accepted a plea deal of manslaughter. As a part of the plea deal, Wagner will testify during Blahnik’s trial. Wagner admitted in 2020 to holding Bagley down as Blahnik repeatedly stabbed him to death. The two then transported Bagley’s body to Wagner’s home in Cedar Rapids, where they buried him to hide evidence from authorities.
