Dale Massad Trial

Former mayor of Port Richey Dale Massad was arrested in February for shooting at deputies who came to his home to serve an arrest warrant. The warrant they came to serve was for practicing medicine without a license.

Massad, 68, is facing multiple charges stemming from his Feb. 21 arrest.

However, this trial is strictly for the obstruction of justice case, which stems from a jailhouse call between Massad and then-acting Mayor Terrance Rowe, who was arrested almost a month after Massad.
