Bo Pete Jeffrey faces one count of premeditated first-degree murder in connection with the death of his ex-wife Lisa Jeffrey.
Deputies responded to a missing persons report and after talking with relatives and the alleged suspect about the woman’s whereabouts, detectives got a search warrant for the victim’s residence. Sheriff’s deputies went there on Dec. 3, 2018 and found her decomposing body wrapped in plastic and placed underneath a bed. Next to her was a pair of bloody boxing gloves.
An autopsy showed she had bruises all over her body and multiple broken ribs.
The death was considered a homicide. Jeffrey told a MCSO detective he and Lisa had a physical altercation on Nov. 5 – her birthday – and he punched her three or four times in the face. He alleges they went to bed and, the next morning, he found her dead in the bathroom.
He claimed he felt responsible for her death so he went to a store and purchased garbage bags that was used to wrap her body and hid it under a bed in their RV.
Bo and Lisa were married for five years before divorcing in October 2018. They continued to live together until the time of Lisa’s death.
