Former bank gang enforcer known as ‘Lizard Man’ found dead with ex-girlfriend in apartment

A former bike gang enforcer known as ‘Lizard Man’ has been found dead with his ex-girlfriend.

Bronson Ellery – given the nickname because of his heavily-tattooed appearance – was found with Shelea Schilling, 20, in his Gold Coast apartment in Australia on Friday afternoon.

A murder investigation has been launched after police said the pair had died in ‘unknown circumstances’.

Ellery, 24, was once a member of the infamous Bandidos Motorcycle Club and had been in and out of prison in recent years.

Detective Senior Sergeant Matthew Ward said no weapon had been found at the crime scene and police did not yet know how they had died.

“We don’t have any information (regarding their deaths) at this stage apart from the fact that we have a female and a male within the address. Anything is possible. We’re appealing to anyone with knowledge of the persons who occupied this address or who were associated to this address.”

Ms Schilling’s mother Bonnie Markwell Mobbs claimed Bronson had killed her daughter in an emotional social media post after her daughter’s body was found.

She wrote: “B****** had no life took his and my baby girl. Rott (sic) in hell Bronson. Let my angel be safe.”

In March 2015, Ellery spent four months in custody for trying to intimidate a man into withdrawing a complaint to police. He pleaded guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice in Southport District Court.
