Raina Aliev, 25 and a transgender Muslim woman, was hacked to death only days after marrying her husband. Alimshaikh Aliev, Raina Aliev’s own own father, had gone on television publicly called for her murder saying, “ Let him be killed, I don’t want to see him. Bring him here and kill him in front of my eyes.”
The victim had informed law enforcement authorities about the threat but to no avail. The circumstances of her murder and where the killing took place have not been revealed. But it is known that the body was cut up and unrecognizable.
