Testimony continued Friday in the ‘Hot Car’ murder trial as a former prostitute revealed that Justin Ross Harris had sex with her three times in the weeks before his son Cooper died after being left in a vehicle for hours. Temperatures soared to 95 degrees that day back on June 18, 2014.
Daniela Doerr distinctly remembered Harris as a ‘repeat’ client when police showed her his photograph, she testified on Friday. “It was vanilla sex.” Attorneys asked Ms. Doerr questions about how she ran her business. Doerr says she usually had three or four customers a day. “I didn’t take every caller,” Doerr says. “I did what I needed to make sure that I was OK.” The majority of her clients were middle-class, white males.
Harris sat stone-faced as the witness explained their encounters which were described as “strictly business.” Doerr said she had been using the Backpage.com website since March or April and initially met the defendant during the week of May 18, her birthday. The first meeting between them lasted 15 minutes. A second visit lasted 30 minutes.
