Tonie Wilson is charged with murder in the 2024 killing of 16-year-old Julian 'JuJu' Keel in Richland County, South Carolina. The charges stem from an overnight shooting on June 2, 2024 in the parking lot of the Roll-Out Wangz, Eggrollz and Thangz restaurant in Columbia. He faces charges of murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature. Police say an argument broke out between two groups gathered for a graduation party. Investigators stated that the a 16-year-old suspect opened fire at Wilson, who then allegedly returned fire using a .300 Blackout assault-style rifle. More than 50 rounds were exchanged from at least four different firearms. Julian Keel, a rising senior and football player at WJ Keenan High School, was entirely uninvolved in the dispute. He was struck by a stray bullet in the upper body while actively attempting to flee the parking lot and later died from his injuries. |
