Pammy Maye is accused with murder, child endangering, and kidnapping in the death of 5-year-old Darnell Taylor. An Ohio statewide Amber Alert was issued on February 14 for Darnell after police said they received an alarming phone call from Maye's husband in which she allegedly told him she killed Darnell. Maye fled Columbus for Cleveland, where she was later arrested on February 15. The vehicle police were searching for was found unoccupied in Brooklyn hours after the Amber Alert went out. During an interview with Maye, police said she told them where to find Taylor's body. On February 16, Columbus officers located the body of Darnell in a storm drain.
