Ezra McCandless was  found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 24-year-old Alexander Woodworth of Eau Claire.

According to a criminal complaint, McCandless and Woodworth were in a vehicle that got stuck on a muddy road in the Town of Spring Brook on March 22, 2018.

McCandless told investigators that she started stabbing, ‘anywhere and everywhere.’

After stabbing Woodworth 16 times, McCandless carved the word ‘boy’ into her arm.

Andrea Nodolf, the Dunn county district attorney said back in 2018, McCandless had admitted to the stabbing to law enforcement.

During a motion hearing, McCandless changed her plea from ‘not guilty by reason of mental disease’ to a ‘not guilty’ plea.
