A New York mother raged in court against the men convicted of taking part in her son’s murder: “I hope each and every one of them rot in hell for what they did to my family,” Donna Nolan said. “Do not ever forget my son’s name.”
Nolan fired off emotional words in Westchester County Court on Wednesday. “When I hear about five families being destroyed, no, because they still get visits, they get cards, they get care packages. They get all that. They get to see their mothers on Mother’s Day, or write a card and say, ‘Mom, I love you.’ Well you know what, heaven doesn’t have visiting hours. I don’t get that.”
Four men in total took part in the deadly drive-by shooting of 23-year-old Michael Nolan, an Oakland A’s baseball prospect, at a Burger King in Yonkers last year. Nolan was placed in a medically induced coma after the shooting and was declared dead on Oct. 9.
On Wednesday, Judge Barry Warhit sentenced Tejmitra Singh to 11 years in prison and Darren Dawson to nine years in prison for their roles in the murder.
The admitted gunman Nashaun Hunter is expected to get 25 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced in November. The fourth suspect, Garth O’Neil Cole, will be sentenced next month.
