Kaliyha Everett, 22, intended to rob 19-year-old Tysaiah Christopher Donaldson when he contacted him to purchase marijuana on December 30, 2015. Everett, who was then 17, is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Donaldson's girlfriend and her nephew witnessed the incident and saw two men approach Donaldson at his Tampa apartment. One of the men opened fire which hit Donaldson in the chest. Donaldson was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. Facebook photos and cell phone data led investigators to the arrest of Everett. If Everett is convicted he faces life in prison.
