Joseph James DeAngelo, 74, was accused of a string of murders, rapes and burglaries in California and became known as the so-called 'Golden State Killer'. The case of the 'Golden State Killer,' also known as the 'East Area Rapist,' started with a serial rapist and became a 40-year manhunt for a murderer that spanned 500 miles. He plead guilty to 13 murders and 13 kidnapping-related charges spanning six counties. He is also expected to admit to up to 62 rapes that he could not be criminally charged with because too much time has passed.
