John T. Earnest, 19, is accused on State charges that include one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder in connection with the shooting that left one woman dead and three other people injured. Earnest is accused in the deadly Chabad of Poway synagogue shooting in California while armed with an AR-15 style rifle he legally purchased and dressed in a tactical vest with five additional 10-round magazines when he opened fire. Earnest could face the death penalty because he is accused of killing a woman because of her religious beliefs. Earnest could also face the death penalty in Federal court where he faces 113 charges.
