Ivan Samuel Brammer is charged in the murder of his former girlfriend Ilene Gowan, 60. Gowan’s deceased body was found in a roadside ditch on February 26, 2023, 11 days after being reported missing by her daughter. A forensic pathologist determined Gowan died of asphyxiation. Gowan’s family member told detectives 'it was bad when they were drinking,' and Gowan had said 'Brammer had choked her during a loud argument'. If convicted, Brammer faces up to 50 years in prison.
