Lonna Barton, the mother of missing toddler Lonzie Barton and her boyfriend Ruben Ebron, were both charged with child neglect and lying to police, in connection with Lonzie's disappearance. Barton's son, Lonzie, was reported missing and was presumed dead. In a plea deal, Lonna Barton pleaded guilty to child neglect and lying to police. As part of the plea, Lonna Barton agreed to truthfully testify in the trial of her boyfriend, Ruben Ebron, who is considered the main suspect in Lonzie's disappearance. Ruben Ebron has since led police to a site and the skeletal remains believed to be those of Lonzie Barton were found covered, but not buried. The remains were in a 'garbage heap' in a wooded area. It is believed Ebron would now be pleading guilty to a charge of aggravated manslaughter and will be sentenced to 20 years in prison and serve five years concurrent for child neglect.
