Colin Gray is the father of Apalachee High School, Hall County Georgia shooting suspect Colt Gray. Colt Gray is accused of killing two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School in Winder in September 2024. Colt Gray is facing two counts of second-degree murder and eight of cruelty to children. He is accused of killing two teachers and two students. Colin Gray is being charged with 29 counts, including two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of involuntary manslaughter and many counts of second-degree cruelty to children tied to the shooting. Students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 years old, and teachers Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Cristina Irimie, 53, were killed in the shooting. Another teacher and eight students were wounded in the incident. Colin Gray had given his son the semiautomatic, assault-style rifle as a Christmas gift and later purchased a larger magazine at his son's request so the gun could hold more rounds.
