Charleston, SC – The competency hearing for the man accused of shooting and killing nine worshippers at a Charleston church has finished.
The two day closed hearing for Dylann Roof’s federal death penalty trial wrapped up at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Testimony from witnesses and experts have finished up and now Judge Richard Gergel has taken the matter under advisement.
No specific details have been released about what’s been shared over the last two days.
Court officials say Dylann Roof has been in the courtroom for both days.
No hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
As of now, jury selection is still scheduled to start Monday.
