San Diego County Police are searching for a suspect in the attempted kidnapping of an 11 year-old girl in Imperial Beach in San Diego County.
The girl was riding a scooter around 5 pm Wednesday, October 19 in the area of 13th and Fern when a pickup truck pulled over.
The passenger jumped out of the truck and tried to pull the girl inside. The young victim managed to escape unharmed and fled to a nearby relative’s home.
The brave 11 year-old was able to provide a description of both the person who tried to abduct her and the truck in which he was riding.
She described the suspect as a white man about 5’11” tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds with slicked back, salt and pepper hair and a large salt and pepper mustache. The description also included two prominent tattoos; an eye on his forehead and a skull on his Adam’s Apple. The San Diego Police Department released a sketch of the suspect (above).
The vehicle is described as a royal blue Ford F250 pickup, newer model. The description adds that the truck was “lifted” or “jacked up”, which essentially means the truck body has been raised by adding over-sized tires and/or making adjustments under the body.
The vehicle described looks something like this:
The suspect, with his distinctive tattoos, should not be hard to find. Anyone with information is asked to call the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department at (858) 565-5200.
