Jesse Matthew Jr. is charged with killing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham and Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington. Graham disappeared in Charlottesville in September 2014 and her remains were found about a month later in nearby Albemarle County. Harrington disappeared outside John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville while attending a Metallica concert. The remains of Harrington, who was last seen alive on Oct. 17, 2009, were discovered on a rural Albemarle County farm in January 2010. Matthew is facing the death penalty. In October 2015, Jesse Matthew Jr. was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences for sexually assaulting a woman 10 years ago in Fairfax County.
