DeMorris Hunter

DeMorris Hunter is accused of the 2002 killing of Theresa Green in College Park in Orange County, Florida while on the run from Oakland, California police. Hunter is believed to have strangled Theresa Green in Orlando in May 2002 before leaving that city in a stolen car. Hunter, who was previously convicted of killing Ivora Huntley in California and sentenced to four life sentences in prison. Hunter had shot dead 41-year-old Ivora Huntley in Oakland on March 29, 2002, after Huntley tried to stop him from beating his girlfriend He was extradited to Florida from California in 2015 to face murder charges and a possible death sentence in the death of Theresa Green. Green was reported missing from her Orlando home on May 27, 2002 and found dead that evening in the trunk of her car. The hunt for Hunter was featured on the television program America's Most Wanted and after a tip to the FBI, Hunter was captured in Houston on February 21, 2003. Hunter was previously sentenced in Oakland for fatally shooting Cesar Guzman in January 1985, when Hunter was 18 years old. Hunter also left Eric Wright a paraplegic with a gunshot in Oakland on Valentine's Day 1985 and also shot Adolphus Williams with a sawed-off shotgun that same month. Wright died a year later. Plea bargains related to those crimes resulted in Hunter being sentenced to 24 years in prison. He was paroled in November 1997.
