Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin is charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, on the New Mexico set of the film set of the movie 'Rust' on October 21, 2021, after a gun held by the Hollywood actor fired a live round while he was rehearsing a scene. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident on Bonanza Creek Ranch. Hutchins was fatally shot in the chest. Souza, who had been standing behind her, was treated in hospital for a wound to the shoulder, and later discharged. Baldwin has denied pulling the trigger. The film's armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was responsible for the weapons on the set was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. 'Rust' safety coordinator and assistant director David Halls pleaded no contest to a charge of unsafe handling of a firearm and received a suspended sentence of six months probation.
