Alleged crime kingpin Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala aces charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and money laundering after an alleged attempted hit on his former partner actress and socialite Tebogo Thobejane in October 2023. It is alleged that his former partner was in a car when unknown hitmen fired at her, her friend and their driver. Thobejane, known for her role on the popular television drama Muvhango, was shot in the foot, while a female passenger in the car sustained a serious spinal cord injury.
