Victor Rivera

Victor Rivera from Nashua, New Hampshire was found guilty on January 14, 2024 in the shooting deaths of his former girlfriend, Patricia Swett, and Swett's boyfriend, Matthew Champagne on September 29, 2023. During the trial, Rivera said he suspected that he and Champagne, his friend of seven years, were dating Swett at the same time. When he confronted them about it, they insisted that nothing romantic was going on and demanded that Rivera apologize for making false accusations. However, when he later saw the couple at Slade's Food and Spirits he followed them to the parking lot and again confronted them. Rivera, pulled out a Glock 23 semiautomatic pistol and shot Swett point blank then shot Champagne. In total he fired his weapon seven times. Rivera was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and could now be sentenced to life in prison.
