Former 2023 Miss Donalsonville Trinity Madison Poague is accused in the January 14, 2024 beating death of her boyfriend's 18-month-old infant Jaxton Drew, whose legal name is Romeo Angeles. Poague was indicted on 1 count of Malice Murder, 2 counts of Felony Murder, 2 counts of Aggravated Battery, and 1 count of Cruelty to Children in the First Degree. It is alleged that abuse to the boy by Poague caused 'serious disfigurement to his liver', rendered his brain 'useless' and left the boy with massive trauma to his head and torso. The boy was found unresponsive in Poague's college dorm room on Georgia Southwestern State University’s campus. He was admitted to an emergency hospital room in Americus, Georgia where hospital personnel performed life-saving measures on the child, but he later died.
