Michelle Troconis

Michelle Troconis was found guilty in the murder of Jennifer Dulos. Jennifer was reported missing by friends on May 24, 2019 after she failed to show up for appointments, including her children's trip to the dentist. The body of Jennifer Dulos, a mother of five, has never been found. Authorities have presumed her to be dead. Her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, died by suicide in January 2020, three weeks after he was charged with Jennifer's murder. Michelle Troconis, the girlfriend of Fotis Dulos at the time, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution. Even though the judge ruled that evidence obtained from a warrantless search of Troconis' cellphone could not be introduced at trial, Troconis was found guilty of all charges. Video surveillance footage captured on the day Jennifer Dulos disappeared showed Troconis sitting in the front seat of Fotis Dulos' pickup truck as he dropped bags into garbage cans. The bags were later found to contain Jennifer Dulos' blood and DNA. During the trial Troconis was accused of placing sealed documents on her laptop that people were able to see resulting with her being charged with contempt. Troconis is one of two remaining defendants in the case. Attorney Kent Mawhinney has also pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and will go on trial at a later date.
