Meagan Jackson is charged in the murder of her ex-boyfriend Gregory Rice whose body was found wrapped in a tarp and dumped in a South Carolina river. Rice was last seen on Octoberr 2, 2020. Jackson, a former body transporter, is the mother of Gregory Rice's four children. She is accused of plotting to kill him with her then-lover, Christopher Dontell, a former Horry County deputy coroner. Dontell entered a guilty plea to conspiracy and accessory after the fact. As part of a plea deal, the murder charge against him was dropped in exchange for his cooperation. He is now expected to testify against Jackson. Dontell faces up to 15 years in prison for conspiracy and 5 years for accessory. His sentencing will take place after Jackson's trial.
