Leslie Davis Sutton, 55, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of cocaine when his vehicle hit and killed a 2-year-old girl July 4 in Ypsilanti Township. Mia Lamb, 2, was struck by Sutton's vehicle when she was crossing Carol Ann Avenue near Eileen Street. She was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Sutton admitted to consuming alcohol and taking drugs before driving. He pleaded guilty in February to operating under the influence of drugs (cocaine), driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and open intoxicants within a motor vehicle. He avoided the more serious charge of operating under the influence of drugs causing death.
