Justin Johnson, Hernandez Govan and Cornelius Smith Jr are all facing first-degree murder charges in the shooting of the renowned Memphis rapper Young Dolph. Johnson and Smith are accused of firing the shots that killed the famous rapper, while Govan is accused of conspiring and planning the murder. Young Dolph was in Memphis to hand out turkeys to families at a church when he was gunned down while visiting his favorite cookie shop near his childhood home. Two men got out of a stolen Mercedes-Benz and fired shots into Makeda's Homemade Cookies before fleeing. They were captured after the release of photos taken from surveillance video that captured two men getting out of a Mercedes and firing into the store. Cornelius Smith Jr and Hernandez Govan are being tried at a later date. |
