John Hunt was living in Boulder City in 2016 when he was arrested while protesting a police-sanctioned crosswalk enforcement event. In 2018 he was found guilty of failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, impeding the ability of a driver to yield, obstructing a police officer and resisting a public officer. Later, Boulder City was found guilty of vindictive prosecution and violating Hunt's First Amendment right. However, it was then ruled that Boulder City did not vindictively prosecute Hunt. The case again returns to court for a reconsideration. |
