Jennifer Crumbley and James Crumbley are the parents of Ethan Crumbley who is accused of fatally shooting four fellow students and wounding seven other people at Oxford High School, Michigan. The parents purchased the handgun used in the November 30 shooting at Oxford High School, apparently as a Christmas gift for their son, and stored it improperly. When called to a meeting by school officials to discuss a disturbing, violent drawing made by their son, the parents did not inquire about the whereabouts of the gun or inform the school that they had recently purchased a gun for him. The parents have each been charged with the following four counts in connection with the deadly shooting:- Count 1: Involuntary manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin; Count 2: Involuntary manslaughter in the death of 16-year-old Tate Myre; Count 3: Involuntary manslaughter in the death of 14-year-old Hana St. Juliana and Count 4: Involuntary manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Justin Shilling. Both parents are also accused of giving their son a semi-automatic handgun. |
