James Chance and his wife Barbara Chance are the parents of Jared Chance, who was convicted by a jury in the killing of a friend, Kalamazoo-area resident Ashley Young, 31. James and Barbara Chance are charged with perjury while being questioned under a prosecutor's investigative subpoena and accessory after the fact. Barbara Chance entered a no contest plea to the perjury and accessory charges.
