SAPS Crime Intelligence boss Lieutenant General Dumisani Khumalo and six senior officers are charged with fraud and corruption. Khumalo is charged alongside six other senior police officials, including Major Generals Philani Lushaba, Nosipho Madondo, Josias Lekalakala, Zwelithini Gabela, and Brigadiers Phindile Ncube and Dineo Mokwele. The State alleges that the officials colluded to appoint Mokwele into a senior specialized post despite her lacking the necessary policing qualifications.
