Dr Nandipha Magudumana faces four charges, including murder and fraud. Dr Magudumana and her lover, Thabo Bester, were deported to South Africa after being arrested in Tanzania. The pair, along with a Mozambican national, were arrested during Easter while en route from Arusha to the Kenyan border. It has been reported that that weeks before Thabo Bester's escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre, in which he faked his death by making believe that he had 'burnt to death' in his prison cell, Dr Magudumana allegedly stole three unidentified bodies from Free State mortuaries. It is alleged that Dr Magugumana, her father Zolile Sekeleni, and G4S employees allegedly assisted in Thabo Bester's escape. The charges Dr Magudumana will be facing are: Aiding and abetting escape (of a convicted prisoner from lawful custody); and murder of a number of bodies that we found in her possession; and violation of bodies; and fraud.
