Dearron Johnson faces 5 charges for the grooming and sexual abuse of 15-year-old Mikayla Ward in 2017. Johnson was her tumbling coach. Count 1: Enticing a child for indecent purposes; Count 2:Aggravated child molestation; Count 3: Aggravated child molestation; Count 4: Child Molestation; Count 5: Child Molestation; Johnson started messaging Ward on SnapChat and the messaging became sexually explicit. Ultimately Johnson and Ward performed oral sex on each other. Two days afterwards Ward told her mother what had happened and the police were then informed. In 2 recorded phone calls Ward admitted having a private session with Mikayla and that Mikayla would have no reason to fabricate the abuse.
