Daraian Winfield

Detroit police believe Daraian Winfield is a serial rapist whose violence caused the death of one woman. After a series of sexual assaults last year that terrorized Detroit's east side, Winfield, 18, was named a suspect in three of the crimes. And after one of the victims died from her injuries, Winfield became a murder suspect. He faces murder, home invasion and criminal sexual conduct charges for allegedly breaking into the 17-year-old victim's home Jan. 7 on Radnor Street and attacking her. Meanwhile, Winfield is accused in two other assault cases, one involving a 39-year-old woman in a different home on Radnor Street in December and one in Grosse Pointe Park. In the other Radnor Street case, he's charged with assault with intent to murder, first-degree home invasion and assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct.
