Colin Gray is the father of Colt Gray a 14-year-old boy accused of killing four people at a high school in the US state of Georgia. Colin Gray is facing 29 charges, including second-degree murder, second-degree cruelty to children, involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct. Prosecutors have alleged that Colin Gray purchased the firearm used in the shooting as a Christmas gift. Colt Gray is accused of opening fire on September 4, 2024 at Apalachee High School in Winder, near Atlanta, Georgia, killing two teachers and two students and injuring nine others. He is facing 55 charges: four counts of murder, four counts of felony murder, four counts of aggravated battery, 25 counts of aggravated assault and 18 counts of cruelty to children in the first degree. In May 2023, the FBI spoke to Colin and Colt Gray after tips that Colt allegedly made Discord threats to shoot up a middle school. Discord is a platform for hosting real-time text, video, and voice chat, often used by gamers and streamers. Colin Gray stated his son had problems at West Jackson Middle School in Hoschton, Georgia, and so was instead going to Jefferson Middle School, about 17 minutes away, where he believed things had improved. |
