Christian Moreno and Abilene Schnieder pleaded guilty with a dangerous dog attack resulting in death and injury to the elderly. Ramon Najera and his wife were visiting a friend on February 24, 2023, when they were attacked by two dogs that were out of their yard owned by Moreno and Schnieder. Ramon Najera, 81, died of his injuries. The state is seeking the maximum punishment of 20 years in prison while the defense is seeking a sentence of 10 years probation.
