Chase Jones

Chase Jones was the driver responsible for a devastating crash on March 19, 2024 that killed four people and injured two others near Renton, Washington. Jones pleaded guilty to four counts of vehicular homicide for the deaths of Andrea S. Hudson, 38, Boyd 'Buster' Brown, 12, Matilda Wilcoxson, 13, and Eloise Wilcoxson, 12. as well as two counts of vehicular assault for injuries to Nolan and Charlotte Hudson. Jones, who was 18 at the time of the crash, ran a red light going 112 mph before crashing into Hudson's mini-van, killing her and three children inside plus injuring two others. Jones had been involved in three prior crashes related to his speeding. Jones could receive a maximum sentence of 23 and a half years in prison. The plea agreement made by Jones includes a requirement for a speed-limiting device on any vehicle he drives in the future.
